Alan Hargis Named Vice President of Sales

Alan Hargis joins McCormick International USA, Inc., as the new Vice President of Sales. McCormick International USA, Inc. is a division of ARGO Tractors and part of ARGO S.p.A., a holding company owned by the Morra family in Italy.
Hargis will oversee all aspects of sales for McCormick and Landini Tractors for the US Operations. Hargis joins McCormick with more than 20 years of Sales Management experience. He most recently served as senior vice president of Wells Fargo Financial Leasing, Inc. based in Des Moines, Iowa.
"Alan possesses extensive knowledge about the ins and outs of the agricultural financial business, but it's his integrity and commitment to quality service that the McCormick dealers will find truly invaluable," says Rodney Miller, CEO of McCormick International USA, Inc. "Having known Alan before, I can say first-hand that he's one of those guys you simply enjoy doing business with."
Hargis says he's excited about joining McCormick and bringing all of his prior knowledge and experience to the company. He's looking forward to working with all of the McCormick team members and working together to reach common goals.
"I plan on riding with the Territory Managers and getting to know them and the dealers they support; building strong relationships not only with the sales team but the dealer network is extremely important. Our goal will be to help our dealers sell more inventory, find, meet and exceed dealer expectations; and doing so with a greater return on assets. Doing these things, I believe, will help assist us in taking McCormick to the next level of customer service," says Hargis.
He adds: "I've known some of the McCormick people for years, and now I have the opportunity to work side-by-side with these talented individuals. Together I believe we can strengthen the relationships with McCormick's customers and reinforce the passion for agriculture that Cyrus started so many years ago."
Hargis is replacing Thurman Kirkland. Kirkland joined McCormick in January of 2008 where he was responsible for all sales of McCormick and Landini tractors. "He has done a wonderful job helping to define the sales force and working with the dealers to contribute to the overall success of McCormick," says Miller. "Thurman will continue to work with our sales team by being in the field and continuing to build the relationships that we have with our dealers.
