Territory Managers/Sales

Job Responsibilities:

The job responsibilities for our Territory Managers are separated into four categories. Each of these four categories is equally important to the overall success of this position. A performance and evaluation review of each category is done to measure where you stand. This will assist us with providing information on where goals and objectives can be set to ensure your continued success.

Brand:

  • Develop marketing goals and strategies in a designated geographic territory in order to promote the products and services offered by McCormick.
  • Assist new and existing dealers with developing their business to feature the McCormick line of products.
  • Participate in continued training of existing and new products offered by McCormick.

Wholesale:

  • Ability to explain in depth and analyze individual dealer performance and TM’s plan to capitalize on their maximum potential.
  • Manage after-sale support activities with all assigned accounts to ensure long term, profitable customer relationships.
  • Work with sales supports staff to obtain required documentation for new dealers and updated information as needed for existing ones.

Retail:

  • Develop a marketing plan which would contribute to expand the potential retail customers in your geographic territory.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Train dealers on the proper settlement and warranty registration processes and procedures.

Support:

  • Provide product training to dealers, conveying continual support for our mutual success and growth.
  • Create and nurture relationships with existing customer accounts, while working with McCormick’s management and technical staff in a team environment to maintain and secure new business opportunities.
  • Ability to understand and explain credit products or services and warranty policies to existing and new dealers.
  • Compile, understand and present information from area competitive sales programs to corporate office for review to ensure McCormick’s products and services are inline with other current programs being offered.
  • Support the activities and services provided by the Territory Service Managers in the assigned areas.
  • Participation in and assistance with the organization of local area Trade Shows is required.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in a competitive sales environment
  • In-depth understanding of competitive product offerings, marketing strategies and distribution issues
  • Proven, consistent achievement of revenue targets and forecast accuracy while building satisfied and loyal customers
  • Sharp analytical and creative approach to identifying and evaluating potential new opportunities
  • Knowledge of Agricultural dealer business practices using heavy machinery and their marketing strategies
  • Must be willing to travel within assigned territory and a minimum 50% overnight expected (2-3 nights minimum per week)
  • Successful negotiating and selling skills

Experience:

  • Proven and progressive sales track record
  • Dealer/distributor development
  • Field experience
  • Agriculture background a plus
  • Four-year degree in a related field preferred
